Ranch Manager
Originally from Texas, growing up on a beef cattle and crop farm, my agricultural journey took a turn when my father's re-enlistment in the Navy prompted many a move. In my late 20's, on a country drive in the Catskills in upstate New York, I came across the most picturesque dairy farm, and applied to become a milker. What I loved about this farm was the opportunity to get to know every single animal, and have a hand in personally ensuring them a good life. This was the most important thing I took away from this experience.
I moved to Culpeper and I had an opportunity to work at Mystic Hill Farms. Later, I joined a dairy in Faquier county, and experienced the nature of large-scale dairy operation for 4 years. Transitioning to a 700-acre farm in beautiful Madison county Virginia, I was able to start practicing sustainable farming. The owner agreed to sheep which fit the terrain and available grazing acerage, and the land was perfect for rotational grazing.
In 2019, I joined RRR, managing a 1950-acre ranch with 550 acres of pasture with a focus on regenerative agriculture. Embracing rotational grazing and environmental stewardship, we prioritize the well-being of both our livestock and the land. I was also able to get back to knowing each and every animal personally, which is a passion and gives me joy.
